Originally, this site was used to learn how to create websites. Since family was (and still is) scattered across the country, the content was on the personal side with lots of photos. My hobby and passion is gardening, hence the photo of the peony as “logo”. Other photo essay topics included my pet cats, vacations and day trips, renovations to the house, and family get-togethers. These types are photos are now in the process of being moved to Google's Picasa.
So what's to become of this website? I will continue to test and experiment with various applications and software on this server. Some will be publicly available, some will be private. You may find a blog here soon, too.
As co-owner of The Boulevard Group, Inc., my husband Mark Beck and I produce websites for small- to medium-sized businesses and non-profit agencies. A full-service firm, The Boulevard Group provides services in website design, development, production, search engine optimization (SEO), hosting, and internet marketing.
As adjunct faculty member, I teach website design and management to undergraduate students seeking a BS in information technology. As continuing education instructor, I teach the popular Web Skills certification course. Both teaching endeavors are developed and taught with long-time colleague Bill Kennedy, director of web operations at Fairleigh Dickinson University.
As campus webmaster, I am primarily responsible for the implementation, training, and support of Fairleigh Dickinson University's website content management system.
